This beautiful volume includes the entire editorial contents of issues 1 through 6 from 1946 through 1948, without the advertising pages. Included within is a rich assortment of editorials, commentary, letters, music notation, and technical resources interspersed with delightful illustrations, portraits, and graphics. This volume includes articles by and about Andres Segovia, an article on Flamenco songs and Dances, and the Memoirs of Makaroff, among many other pieces of wisdom about the history and music of the classic guitar. This book is in fine condition with gilt designs imprinted on a black cover and spine. There is no damage or any signs of wear to the pages or cover. The previous owner’s name is written on the front endpaper, and dated 1976 : R.A. Stephan (Crane School of Music professor emeritus). 160 pages.

Issue 11 is the “Portrait Issue” – an extensive album of photographs of famous guitarists and composers. This book is in near fine condition with gilt designs imprinted on a red cover and spine. The the top of the spine has been bumped and there is a small tear at the top of the front joint, but there is no other damage or any signs of wear to the pages or cover. The previous owner’s name is written on the front endpaper: R.A. Stephan (Crane School of Music professor emeritus). 211 pages.
